BARBARA DOMER: Valparaiso City Council District 3

VALPO CITY COUNCIL VOTES 6-1 to recognize June as Pride Month in Valparaiso. Mayor Costas voices his support; thank you sir!

My statement of support:

Throughout my campaign to represent District 3 in City Council, my priorities included support for the City of Valparaiso recognizing June as pride month.

Further, I attended the first meeting in 2024 of the Advisory Human Relations Council and offered comments publicly supporting the City of Valparaiso recognizing June as pride month.

I believe this resolution is a necessary and significant first step towards making this great city a more inclusive, welcoming and equitable community.

I am supportive of this resolution which I hope will build a bridge between residents and local government and build a relationship of trust which I am confident will empower civic engagement.
